Design of Model Following Control Integrating PID Controller for DC Servomotor-Based Antenna Positioning System

The study presented the design of an efficient motorized antenna positioning control system using Model Following Control (MFC). It was desired to a improve stability and reduce position error. dynamic model direct current (DC) servomotor developed achieve this. An MFC designed that integrated Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controller in frequency domain for tuning loop terms transient characteristics robustness; this gives technique known as MFC-PID control. with DC servo motor closed-loop system. simulated MATLAB/SIMULINK environment. able performance criteria rise time (tr = 1.4483s), settling (ts 4.2470s) overshoot (Mp 5.5214%), which represents improvement on over convectional PID technique. Generally, optimized algorithm.
